A Memorable Evening of Masonic Brotherhood in Aberdeenshire Eas
The bonds of Masonic fellowship were strengthened last night as a deputation from The Lodge of Portlethen No. 1805 paid a visit to Lodge St. James No. 256 in Peterhead. This special occasion, marked by an exemplary Master Mason Degree, served as a testament to the dedication and skill of the visiting Brethren, led by their Right Worshipful Master, Brother Jim Martin. Notably, Bro. Martin himself is a Past Master of Lodge St. James, making this visit all the more significant and personal.
The evening’s proceedings commenced with the traditional exchange of greetings and fraternal courtesies, reflecting the warmth and camaraderie that underpin the Masonic tradition. The candidate, having demonstrated his knowledge and understanding of the craft through his Test Questions in an exemplary manner, was then guided through the Master Mason Degree, a key milestone in a Mason’s journey. The ritual was executed with precision and sincerity, ensuring that the occasion was both educational and inspiring for all in attendance.
It was a pleasure to welcome the Brethren from Portlethen into the Province of Aberdeenshire East, and their presence was greatly appreciated by the members of Lodge St. James. The evening was enriched not only by the work undertaken in the Lodge but also by the fraternal spirit that pervaded the gathering. The exchange of knowledge, experience, and goodwill serves to strengthen the Masonic network within the Province and beyond, fostering relationships that will undoubtedly endure for years to come.
Such visits play a crucial role in maintaining the unity and cohesion of Freemasonry, reminding us all of the shared principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. It is through these acts of mutual support and collaboration that the Craft continues to thrive, ensuring that our ancient and honourable fraternity remains as strong and relevant as ever.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to The Lodge of Portlethen No. 1805 for their outstanding contribution to the evening, and we look forward to future occasions where our Lodges can once again come together in the true spirit of Freemasonry.
