Annual Visitation to Lodge St. Andrew No. 518
Last night, in the esteemed company of a Deputation from The Province, I had the pleasure of traveling to New Pitsligo for the much-anticipated Annual Visitation to Lodge St. Andrew No. 518. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a most cordial and heartfelt welcome from the Right Worshipful Master, Brother John Southworth, and the assembled Brethren. Their hospitality and fraternal warmth were evident throughout the evening, setting the tone for what was to be a most enjoyable and rewarding occasion.
One of the highlights of the visit was the conferral of the “Doric” Mark Master Mason Degree, which was worked to a very high standard. The degree exemplification was carried out with great skill, precision, and sincerity, in the distinctive and time-honored manner for which Lodge St. Andrew No. 518 is well known. It was evident that significant effort and dedication had gone into the preparation, and the Brethren involved in the ceremony are to be commended for their outstanding work. In recognition of their efforts, they were warmly congratulated by all present, reinforcing the Lodge’s well-earned reputation for excellence in ritual work.
Following the degree ceremony, I had the privilege of addressing the assembled Brethren to provide them with a comprehensive and very positive report on the administrative affairs of the Lodge. It was gratifying to be able to highlight the Lodge’s continued commitment to upholding the highest standards in governance and Masonic practice, reflecting the dedication of its officers and members.
As is customary, the evening concluded with a period of fine harmony, where Brethren gathered in a spirit of fellowship to enjoy one another’s company. The warmth of the welcome extended to us was matched only by the convivial atmosphere that prevailed during this closing part of the evening.
In all respects, the visitation to Lodge St. Andrew No. 518 was a most successful and uplifting occasion, demonstrating the strength of Masonic tradition and the enduring bonds of Brotherhood.
