More Light

Welcome to More Light — a space dedicated to inspiration, reflection, and personal growth. Here, we share a selection of motivational writings, thought-provoking quotations, and uplifting imagery that embody the Masonic pursuit of knowledge, virtue, and enlightenment. Whether drawn from our traditions or from the wider world, each piece is chosen to encourage contemplation, strengthen character, and help us all travel a little further toward that perfect ashlar of self-improvement.

To Remain Viable, we must be visible

A city set upon a hill cannot be hid.” So too must the Lodge stand, elevated not by pride, but by purpose. We are not called to secrecy, but to sacred visibility. The Light entrusted to us is not for concealment, but for consecration. If we bury the flame beneath fear or indifference, it will flicker and fade. But if we lift it high, through our labour, our language, and our love, it will illuminate the path for others and rekindle the fire within..

To Remain Viable We Must Be Visible.
Not in vanity, but in virtue. Let our works speak of justice and mercy. Let our words echo with wisdom and grace. Let our witness, quiet or bold, be a testament to the transformative power of Brotherhood. We must be seen not merely in regalia, but in righteousness; not in ceremony alone, but in character.
For the world is watching. And the hill upon which we stand is not of our own making, it is the mount of duty, the summit of service, the high place of hope. Let us shine, then, not to be admired, but to inspire. Not to be praised, but to proclaim: that the Light still lives, and the Lodge still labours for the good of all.
