Provincial Grand Lodge’s Annual Visitation to Lodge Clinton No. 1244
On the evening of 2nd March, the Provincial Grand Lodge (PGL) had the distinct pleasure of traveling to Sandhaven for the Annual Visitation to Lodge Clinton No. 1244. This occasion was marked by a warm welcome and an exemplary display of Masonic work that truly underscored the dedication and skill of the Brethren of the Lodge.
A highlight of the evening was the conferring of an Entered Apprentice Degree upon three candidates. The ceremony was executed with precision and reverence, demonstrating the depth of knowledge and commitment present within Lodge Clinton. The candidates themselves were exceptionally attentive throughout, absorbing the solemnity and significance of this important step in their Masonic journey.
The floor work was of an outstanding standard, reflecting the discipline and preparation of those involved. Furthermore, the lectures, some of which were delivered by younger and newer Brethren, were presented with confidence and clarity. It was truly heartening to witness the next generation of Masons embracing their roles with such enthusiasm and diligence. Their contributions were not only well received but also indicative of the bright future ahead for the Lodge and the wider Masonic fraternity.
Following the Degree work, appropriate comments were made regarding the evening’s proceedings. The feedback highlighted the high caliber of ritual work, recognizing the commitment and practice that had gone into ensuring the ceremony’s success. In addition, a comprehensive and highly favourable report was given on the administrative affairs of Lodge Clinton, affirming the Lodge’s steadfast adherence to Masonic principles and governance.
To conclude the evening, the Brethren retired to a superb harmony, where camaraderie and fellowship were enjoyed in abundance. The atmosphere was one of fraternity and shared purpose, further strengthening the bonds within the Lodge and the wider Masonic community.
On behalf of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Aberdeenshire East, I extend my sincere gratitude to Lodge Clinton No. 1244 for their hospitality and for an evening that exemplified the best of our Masonic traditions. Such events serve as a testament to the enduring strength and vibrancy of Freemasonry in our province.
