Annual Visitation to Lodge Solomon No. 197 – A Night of Fine Ritual and Fellowship

Last night marked the Annual Visitation of the Provincial Grand Lodge to Lodge Solomon No. 197, an occasion that brought together Brethren in the spirit of tradition, learning, and camaraderie.

The Provincial deputation was led by Substitute Provincial Grand Master, Bro. Johnathan Elrick, who, along with the attending Brethren, was treated to an excellently worked Fellowcraft Degree. The ceremony was conducted by Bro. Douglas Taylor, who took the chair as Right Worshipful Master for the night, supported by the Lodge Office-bearers.

The degree was performed with great precision and sincerity, ensuring that Bro. Philip Duncan, the candidate for the evening, received a memorable and meaningful experience. Prior to the ceremony, Bro. Duncan demonstrated his dedication by answering his Test Questions in an exemplary manner, a testament to both his personal commitment and the guidance he has received from his Brethren. His attentiveness throughout the degree was commendable, and he is to be congratulated for taking this next important step in his Masonic journey.

Following the meeting, the Brethren retired to enjoy an informal harmony, where they shared in fraternal conversation, laughter, and the warmth of Masonic fellowship. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere served as the perfect conclusion to an evening of fine ritual and brotherhood.

A special mention must be made of RWM Bro. Ian Thornton, whose absence was felt on the night. On behalf of the Provincial Grand Lodge and all present, I extend my sincere wishes for a full and speedy recovery, and we look forward to welcoming him back to the Lodge in due course.

In all, it was an excellent night, with superb degree work, an engaged candidate, and enjoyable harmony. Well done to all involved in making the evening a success!

Fraternal best wishes,

RWPGM
