Following on from yesterday’s Masonic Activity in Aberdeenshire East a total of 64 Brethren, Companions, Fratres, and Sisters and Brothers of associated Orders along with family and friends attended the church parade and Divine Service held at St. Drostan’s Episcopal Church in Old Deer where the minister Rev. Richard O’Sullivan assisted by Mrs. Margaret Grant and Bro. Ian Bain led us in an inspiring time of worship whilst one of the Bible readings was delivered by Bro. Rev. Alexander Shuttleworth, Senior Grand Chaplain of the GLOS who had travelled from Stirling to join us. We also had the pleasure of being piped to and from the church by Kyle Elrick, son of Bro. David Elrick and nephew of Substitute Provincial Grand Master Bro. Johnathan Elrick, who did a sterling job. On return to the Kemp Hall all present enjoyed light refreshments. Grateful thanks were communicated to all who had made the event possible including those who had provided and served the refreshments. A great event which was enjoyed by all who attended. Due to the generosity of those who attended, St. Drostan’s Church benefitted to the sum of £235 being the donations given in the Offertary, and, I can assure you that this was gratefully accepted.
