Annual Visitation to Lodge St. Columban No. 1858
A big day for the Provincial Grand Lodge of Aberdeenshire East today. We saw the first Annual Visitation of the Province to Lodge St. Columban No. 1858 when they worked an excellent Entered Apprentice Degree for one Candidate with some little twists in the ritual and different ways of delivering it. The whole experience was very refreshing. A large turnout of 1858 Brethren and visitors from within and outwith the Province all made for an excellent meeting after which a superb harmony was enjoyed by all present.
If the meeting of St. Columban at Ellon wasn’t enough for one day, there was a Special Communication of The Grand Lodge of Scotland when the Apprentice Pillars ( Young and New Masons) from around the country, including Bro. Eden Cooper, WSW of Lodge St. James 256 delivered the Lecture on the Tracing Board, which I believe he did in an excellent manner. Well done Eden, a great honour for yourself, your Mother Lodge, and the Province of Aberdeenshire East.
Finally, grateful thanks to everyone who attended and supported both meetings today, and I look forward to meeting up with many of you at the Church Parade and Divine Service at Old Deer tomorrow afternoon.
